‘My wobbly tooth must not ever never fall out!‘ is another children’s picture book in the delightful Charlie and Lola series by Lauren Child. All the books take on a similar pattern revolving around sensible brother Charlie and slightly precocious little sister Lola.
In this story, Lola has her first experience of having a wobbly tooth. When she discovers this she exclaims ‘I do not ever NEVER want my wobbly tooth to fall out. I need it!’ Charlie and his friend Marv try to explain what it is like to have a tooth fall out and the fact that the baby teeth need to go to make way for the grown up ones.

Poor little Lola is tucked up in bed with a cold, but big brother Charlie brings her a tray of her favourite pink milk and some biscuits. Today, however, Lola says the milk tastes green and the biscuits are ‘too prickly to swallow’. Charlie tries to cheer her up with flowers, but they simply make Lola sneeze. She can’t join in a song with Charlie because her throat hurts, but she begs her brother to sing for her. Charlie is in a quandary because he has promised to play football with his friend Marv. He doesn’t want to break his promise, but Lola tugs at his heartstrings so he tries ‘If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.’ Lola, however, doesn’t clap because, as she says, ‘I’m really ever so not well.’

‘But excuse me THAT is my book!‘ is a delightful book written by Lauren Child and is part of the Charlie and Lola series that is seen on TV. Charlie and Lola are brother and sister – Charlie being the older sensible brother and Lola the slightly annoying but totally adorable younger sister constantly asking questions and expecting the entire world to see things exactly her way! Absolutely typical of any three year old really!
This particular book is all about a visit to the library. Lola is firmly attached to an information book called ‘Beetles, Bugs and Butterflies’. So much so that she thinks that the book belongs to only her and is incredibly upset when she arrives at the library and discovers that it is not there having been borrowed by someone else.

This is another delightful book in the Charlie and Lola series by Lauren Child. Most children will know the characters Charlie and Lola because of the TV series of the same name on Cbeebies, and the characters are just the same in this book.
Charlie is quite a sensible little boy aged about seven or eight, who is often in the position of having to look after his little sister, Lola, who I should think is about five.

‘I am Too Absolutely Small for School‘ is a brilliant book which is written by Lauren Child and features the characters Charlie and Lola who can be seen on Cbeebies most days.
This is an animated TV series which centres on a boy called Charlie, who I would guess is about seven, and his younger sister Lola who is probably about four. Lola always has very strong opinions about lots of things, and Charlie always tries to put her straight! The TV series is really quite endearing and the same can be said of this book too.
